Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Field Assistant for the MoEF&CC sponsored research project entitled “Reassessment, Revival, and Recognition of Bio-Resources, Handlooms, and Handicrafts of Indigenous Tribes of Manipur for Sustainable Livelihood” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Kh.

Essential Qualifications:
The applicant should have minimum qualification of B.Sc./Diplomas in relevant discipline of
Biological Sciences/ Applied Sciences.
Desirable:
Experience in community-based fieldwork; knowledge of local languages and cultures; congenial in
extensive field survey, working experience in different ethnic forest villages of Manipur, crafts specimen collection, storing, processing and preservation of specimens. Basic computation skill like, MS office, data compilation, file handling and office management will be given additional preference
Emolument:
Rs. 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand) only per month.
Age:
Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview in hybrid mode (offline and online) on 18/08/2026 at 10.00 A.M in the Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University
