Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary (DAHV), Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Field Assistant (Statistics)/ Enumerator under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Integrated Sample Survey (ISS)” in 2026.

Scale of Pay:
Pay Band-2 of Rs. 14.000/-to Rs. 70,000/-+ Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600/-plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.
Age:
A Candidate should not be less than 21 years as on 01.01.2026 and not more than 40 years of age as on 01.01.2026. The upper age limit is relaxable for the candidates of reserved categories as per existing provision. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/????, 10 years for PwBD and 2 years for Ex-serviceman candidates.
Educational Qualification:
For direct recruitment to the cadre of Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator , a candidate must
have
1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any any subject having studied at least a paper of Statistics/Economics/ Mathematics/ Social Science/ Sociology/ Psychology at Graduate level OR, Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard.
2. Knowledge of English and Local Language: Candidates must have both English and any one of the Local Languages (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo) as subjects during HSLC.
3. Knowledge of Computer along with comfort in Keying data through handheld device: Candidates must qualify and upload Computer Course Certificate of minimum 6 (six) months duration from a Government recognized Institute.
