Bhattadev University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Field Investigator and Research Assistant under the ICSSR funded research project titled “Family Life of the Devotees of Satra Institution in Assam: An Exploration” in 2026.
Name of post : Field Investigator
No. of posts : 2
Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/ per month (as per ICSSR guidelines)
Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate in Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks.
Job Roles : Tasks Conducting field surveys, data collection, assisting in preliminary data organization and reporting.
Desirable Qualifications:
i) Experience in fieldwork-based data collection
ii) Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power-point etc.)
iii) Proficiency in SPSS
iv) Knowledge of local language
Name of post : Research Assistant
No. of posts : 1
Remuneration : Rs. 37,000/- per month (as per ICSSR guidelines)
Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate in Social Science discipline with minimum 55% with
NET/M.Phil/Ph.D.
Job Roles : Literature review, Field-work coordination, Data analysis, Drafting and academic
writing
Desirable Qualifications :
i) Written and communication skill;
ii) Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power-point, SPSS etc.);
iii) Experience in data collection, data handling, data analysis and report writing;
iv) Expertise in research writing and documentation
v) Analytical and problem-solving skills.
