Tocklai Tea Research Institute Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Fellows under two different National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF) sponsored projects. Selected candidates will also get opportunity to register for higher degree (subject to attainment of required qualification).

- Tea Genome Sequencing Project – Phase III
- Exploiting the alternate cost-effective potash sources for sustainable tea production in Northeast India
Essential Qualification:
Project 1:
M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences
Project 2:
M.Sc. in Soil Science/Chemistry/Life Sciences
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Research experience in relevant field.

Monthly Emoluments :
Project 1: Rs.20,000 + 8% HRA p.m.
Project 2: Rs.20,000/- + 8% HRA p.m. for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.22,000/- + 8% HRA p.m. for 3rd year
Job Roles :
Project 1: Project-related Research works. The candidate will also have the responsibility of field work, phenotyping, molecular and biochemical experiments.
Project 2: For lab and field works, Soil sample collection from tea gardens, lab analysis, data collection and compilation, report preparation etc. altogether
Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview will be held on 20th May 2024 from 10 AM onwards in STG Training Institute, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Research Association, Jorhat-785008, Assam
