Eligibility Criteria :
a) Candidates should have a Masters in Geology/Applied Geology.
b) The candidate should have retired from a government mining organization with a pay scale of at least Rs. 1,82,200 – Rs. 2,24,100 and possess a minimum of 25 years of experience.
c) Candidates who have worked with the Geological Survey of India and have atleast one year of experience in Critical Mineral Assessment would be preferred.
d) The incumbent should not be more than 65 years on the last date of receipt of application. An empaneled expert will cease to be in panel on attaining the age limit.

Skills :
a) Should have good interpersonal, delegation, liaison, networking and communication skills to establish effective relationships in internal and external to the organization.
b) Should have experience in technical planning of an Exploration project for deep-seated and critical minerals.
c) Preparation of Prospecting & Exploration plan for the composite and mining lease blocks, including Geophysical, Geochemical and Geological techniques.
d) Estimation and evaluation of resource/reserve of bedded, deep-seated and critical minerals as per United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) with follow-up of The Minerals
(Evidence of Mineral Contents) MEMC Rules 2015 and The Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Rules.
e) Should be able to provide expert advice for searching deep-seated minerals in uncovered areas.
f) Should have experience in selecting and exploring lithium, cobalt, graphite, nickel, copper, potash, REE, and other associated critical minerals, etc.
g) Should have experience and knowledge of various facets of work related to Geology & Mining, Policy & Regulation of Mines and Minerals.
h) Should understand mining leases well and be familiar with government procedures and policies.
i) Should be able to prepare technical components of RFPs for the engagement of consultants for critical mineral exploration
