National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow for a DST-SERB (SRG) sponsored project entitled “Development of Sustainable and Flood Resilient Low-Cost Amphibious
Housing System for the Vulnerable Communities in Assam” in the Department of Civil Engineering. The institute is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology of India. It was also formerly a Regional Engineering College in Assam. It soon came also to the status of National Institute of Technology. It became a Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. The vision of NIT Silchar is to establish unique identity by development of high quality human and knowledge resources in diverse areas of technologies.

Essential Qualification :
M.E./ M. Tech or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering altogether from recognised University. ‘
In addition GATE qualification is also mandatory.
Desirable Experience : Master Degree in Structural Engineering/Structural Dynamics and
Earthquake Engineering/Water Resource Engineering.
Candidates with knowledge in ABAQUS software is desirable
Salary : Rs. 31,000/- per month.
Candidate will also get H.R.A as per the Project / Institute norms.
Age Limit : 28 Years (as on closing date of application altogether)
