National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a DST-SERB (SRG) sponsored project entitled “Design and development of a microreactor for production of clean hydrogen gas” in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The institute is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology of India. It was formerly a Regional Engineering College in Assam. It soon came also to the status of National Institute of Technology. It became a Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. The vision of NIT Silchar is to establish unique identity by development of high quality human and knowledge resources in diverse areas of technologies to meet local, national, and global economic and social need and human society altogether at large in self-sustained manner.

Essential Qualification :
M.E./ M. Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering (Renewable Energy/Thermal Engineering stream) with first class marks in both B.E./B. Tech. & M.E./M. Tech, with valid GATE/NET.
Desirable Experience :
Master Degree in Renewable Energy/ Thermal Engineering with relevant knowledge in Computational fluid dynamics, Python programming, Experimental Microfluidics and Renewable Energy is preferred
Salary : Rs. 31,000/- per month
Age Limit : 28 Years (as on the closing date of application altogether, 18.04.2024)
