National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to post or career of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under GOI-MOE-NCERT Research Project (FY 2024 – 2025) “A Study of Economic Conceptions in Indian Knowledge System” purely on temporary and contractual basis. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation altogether set up in 1961. The Government of India started it to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education, prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. It also organises pre-service and in-service training of teachers. NCERT also develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices, collaborate and network with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions.

Essential Qualification :
i. Post – graduation in Social Science / Education / Language (Sanskrit, Hindi and English) with 55% marks or equivalent (50% for SC/ST/PH) and NET in relevant discipline OR equivalent qualifications.
ii. Two years’ experience in the research project in any organization.
Desirable Qualification :
i. Working Knowledge of Hindi (typing in Unicode) and English.
ii. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and other software used in data Analysis.
iii. Experience in data collection and its interpretation, data handling/analysis, Report writing, book writing, organizing workshops at Centre and State levels, maintaining data and records of administrative nature.
Age Limit : Not more than 45 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
Salary : Rs. 35000/- per month
