Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Assistant Professors under Reserved Categories (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD). This special recruitment drive for backlog vacancies in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD categories is for Assistant Professor positions (Grade I and Grade II) in various scientific divisions, to be posted at the headquarters and other centres/branches/outlying units of the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria :
Assistant Professor Grade-I :
- Ph.D. in the appropriate branch.
- A first class or equivalent at the preceding degree.
- Should have at least 3 years of post-Ph.D. research/ teaching/ industrial experience.
Assistant Professor Grade-II :
Bright young Ph.D.s to teach and earn experience (Experience as on the application closing date)

Candidates must apply with a forwarding letter addressed to the Director, Indian Statistical Institute, referring to the Advertisement No. and its date, in the prescribed format available at the end of this advertisement.

- Curriculum Vitae with a list of all publications altogether
- Proposed research plan
- Proposed teaching plan at the undergraduate and also post-graduate levels
- Caste and/or Disability Certificate(s) from the competent authority altogether, as applicable
- Any other relevant information the applicant may wish to furnish
- Reprints of up to 5 important publications
