Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Assistant Project Scientist in the project entitled “AI Assisted Legal Translation of Judgements from English to Assamese” at the Centre for Linguistic Science and Technology. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, came into being in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati altogether begun in 1995. At present the Institute also has altogether eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools. The institute gives education on all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati’s campus is altogether on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra. IIT Guwahati is around 20 kms from the heart of the city Guwahati. IIT Guwahati is also the only academic institution in India that occupies a place among the top 100 world universities.

Qualification :

MA in English and Assamese as a subject up to class 10 of school education.

Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in reading and interpretation of court judgments in Assamese & English

Selection Procedure :

Candidates must appear for a walk-in-interview on 28th June 2024 from 10:00 AM onwards in CLST Conference Hall, 3rd Floor Library Building, above Computer Centre, IIT Guwahati
