Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Assistant under the project entitled “Exploring the genetic regulators of suberin and HCAA pathway for imparting broad-spectrum tolerance in tomato against soil-borne
vascular pathogens and drought.” Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security altogether at household level. The Assam Agricultural University was established on April 1, 1969 altogether under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968’ with the mandate of imparting farm education, conduct research in agriculture and allied sciences and to effectively disseminate technologies so generated.

Essential Qualification :
Master’s degree in Agriculture or Biotechnology or Life Sciences altogether
Emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- per month + 8% HRA
Age limit: 35 years (5 years relaxation for ST/SC and 3 years for OBC Candidates)
Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview is scheduled to be held on 8th February, 2023 at 11.00 AM in the Department of Plant Pathology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, 785013
