Assam Agricultural University (AAU) Jorhat is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Technical Assistant under “DBT-NECAB”, Phase-III Assam
Agricultural University funded by DBT, Govt. of India entitled “Isolation of novel microbial strains from NE region to develop efficient biopesticides.”  Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level. Assam Agricultural University was altogether established on April 1, 1969 under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968. The university has six Regional Agricultural Research Stations in each agricultural zone of Assam at Titabar – Upper Brahmaputra Valley Zone, North Lakhimpur – North Bank Plain Zone, Shillongoni – Central Brahmaputra Valley Zone, Diphu – Hill Zone, Gossaigaon – Lower Brahmaputra Valley Zone,Karimganj – Barak Valley Zone.

Qualification: B.Sc in Agriculture/ Microbiology/Biotechnology/Botany.

Desirable: Candidates holding experience in molecular biology, microbiology work and age below 40 years will get preference

Emoluments (per month): Rs. 20,000.00 + 8% HRA

Selection Procedure :

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 04-07-2024 from 10:30 am onwards in North East Centre for Agricultural Biotechnology, Office of the DBT – NECAB, AAU ,  Jorhat-13
