Tocklai Tea Research Institute Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF) sponsored project entitled “Evaluation and baseline data generation of insecticides and fungicides, approved by CIBRC in other agricultural crops, for label extension for Tea” in 2026.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science/ Agriculture Preferably Entomology from a
recognized university or institution.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Two years tea relevant research experience.
Monthly Fellowship : Rs. 20,000/- + 8% HRA for for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 22,000/- + 8% HRA per month for 3rd year.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Job Roles : Junior Research Fellow (entomology) will have the responsibility for insect pests’
collection, laboratory pest culture maintenance, laboratory insecticide bio-efficacy study,
multi location field trials, CIBRC data generation for selected insecticides.
Selection Procedure :
Candidates must appear for a walk-in-interview on on 20th April, 2026 at 10.00 am. Interested candidates should Report on or before 10.00 AM. Venue is at Neem Them Hall, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, TRA, Jorhat.
