Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in 2026 in the ANRF sponsored research project entitled “Development of high-moisture meat analogue from protein isolated from tamarind seed and oat okara with improved nutritional and sensory attributes” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Nandan Sit, Department of Food Engineering and Technology.

(i) B.Tech./ M. Tech./ Integrated M. Tech./M. Sc. in Food Process Engineering/ Food
Engineering and Technology/Food Engineering/ Food Technology/ Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering/Food Biotechnology/Food Science/ Food Science and Technology/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Technology and Management/ Food Process Engineering and Management/ Food Plant Operations and Management/ Food Safety and Quality Management/ Post Harvest Technology/ Food Processing and Preservation/ Food Process
Technology/Agricultural Engineering/ Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering.
AND
(ii) GATE or NET (UGC/CSIR/ICAR) including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) qualified or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Emolument: Rs. 37,000/- (Rupees thirty-seven thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.
Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years on the last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
