National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications in 2026 from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Project Associate-I for the ANRF-DST, Govt. of India, sponsored project, under Core Research Grant (CRG) program, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering entitled “Development of smart solar photovoltaic system having encapsulated phase change material with artificial intelligence based real-time condition monitoring.”

Essential Qualification :
Four years Bachelor’s degree in Sciences/Masters Degree in Sciences preferably from Chemistry/ Polymer Sciences/Materials Chemistry/Materials Science/Nanoscience and
Nanotechnology/ Applied Chemistry/Plastic Technology or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferably degree in Mechanical/Materials Science and Engineering/ Metallurgical & Materials Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Chemical and Polymer Engineering/Plastic Engineering/Polymer Technology.
Salary :
(i) Rs. 37,000/- + HRA to Scholars whose selection is through: (a) National Eligibility TestsCSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
