National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the project titled “Developing pathways / process for producing active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) using biomass derived from Furfural from NRL’s bio
refinery” (GAP-185) sponsored by the Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India in 2026.

Essential Qualification :
The candidate must have a postgraduate degree (M.S.(Pharm.)/M.Pharm./M.Sc.) in Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Chemistry / Process Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or minimum CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale. The candidate must have cleared GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any Central Govt. agency.
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- + 20% HRA per month
Maximum Age Limit : 28 years as on the last date of application (Age relaxation will be provided as per GoI norms)

Ph.D. (Synthetic Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Process Chemistry). Applicant must have at least one research publication in standard referred journal/SCI journal.
Salary : Rs. 56,000/- + 20% HRA
Maximum Age Limit : 35 years as on the last date of application (Age relaxation will be provided as per GoI norms)
