Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Junior Assistant and Junior Accounts Assistant in 2026.
Name of post : Junior Assistant
No. of posts : 3
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce with minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Assamese. Out of the three posts one post will be preferred from the candidates having Commerce background.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band -2 (Rs. 14000-Rs. 49000) + Grade Pay of Rs. 6200/- with other allowances as admissible under the rules
Name of post : Junior Accounts Assistant
No. of posts : 3
Qualification : Minimum educational qualification for the post of Junior Accounts Assistant would be “Bachelor Degree in Commerce with major in Accountancy”.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band -2 (Rs. 14000-Rs. 49000) + Grade Pay of Rs. 7400/- with other allowances as admissible
Age Limit : The age limit to apply for the posts of Junior Assistant and Junior Accounts Assistant in ASTE Council is 18-38 years as on 31st January 2026.
