Gauhati Medical College Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Project Personnel under the project entitled “Establishing a One Health Sentinel Surveillance System in High Human-Animal – Interaction Settings among Selected Zoos in India” in the Department of Microbiology in 2026.

Salary : Rs. 67,200/- per month
Essential Qualification :
1. First class post graduate degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized university, including the integrated PG degrees
2. Second class post graduate degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized university, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD (completed)
Desirable Qualification :
1. For candidates possessing a M.Sc. degree, a minimum of three years of work experience in a Medical Microbiology laboratory is required.
2. R & D experience in Microbiology/ Biotechnology Laboratory (Molecular and immunological) at least for two years in recognized institute after obtaining essential qualification.
3. Research publications in indexed journal

Essential Qualification :
Three years graduate in Microbiology/ Biotechnology with three years’ experience
OR
Post graduate degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology
Desirable Qualification :
1. Post graduate degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology will be preferred.
2. Three years’ experience of working in Microbiology laboratory with computer knowledge.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
