Upper Age Limit : 30 years
Essential Qualifications:
1st class Master degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology/Virology/Biotechnology) from a recognized university Or 2nd class Master degree + Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology) from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualifications:
i. Doctorate Degree in life Sciences (Microbiology/Virology/Biotechnology) from a
recognized university
ii. Knowledge of applied bioinformatics (in sequencing technology)
iii. Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in molecular microbiology/ PCR/ Realtime PCR/ Sequencing/ NGS/genotyping works etc. in recognized institute(s).
iv. Knowledge of Computer Applications / Data Management
v. Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.
vi. Candidates with PhD degree will be preferred for engagement.
iv. Original article Publication (Medline/PubMed central published journal) in the area of
virology

Essential Qualifications: B. Sc. / Intermediate with diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (degree/diploma must be approved by DME Assam / similar authority (for another states/Union territory)
Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience of working in VRDL or a Microbiology research lab/Extramural project lab
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 21/02/2026 on or before 8.00 AM positively
in the Foyer area of AIIMS Guwahati, Medical College building.
