Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam) is inviting applications from retired officers of any Government Department/PSU (Central/State) for recruitment to the posts or career of Consultant (Accounts) on purely temporary basis in 2026.

Pay: In case of retired Government employee under Old Pension Scheme, a fixed monthly amount
shall be admissible arrived by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement and in case of retired employee under NPS an amount arrived by deducting the 30% of pay drawn at the time of retirement will be admissible. The amount of remuneration so fixed shall remain unchanged for the term of the contract without any annual increment/percentage increase. Though no DA, HRA, medical benefit shall be admissible, an appropriate and fixed amount as transport allowance for communicating between the residence and IASST may be allowed but not exceeding the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement. The consultancy service shall be governed by Consultancy rules.
Job description: To assist the Finance and Accounts Officer in all Finance and also Accounts related
matters of the institute.
Qualification and Experience:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. Individual should hold before retirement such a position
equivalent to 7th CPC pay scale level 8, who are retired preferably from centrally funded/state funded institutions with experience not below than 20 years.
Desirable: Well conversant in PFMS, Central Government Rules and Regulations including Financial
rules, Finalization of Accounts etc.
Age: Age limit below 63 years on the date of appearing the interview.
