Name of post : Assistant Professor- Biotechnology

Pay Level (7th CPC) : Level-12 and Cell-1 of Pay Matrix, Basic Pay: Rs. 78,800/-
Maximum age limit : 40 years
Essential Qualification:
Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Bioscience & Bioengineering/Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences with
First class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree (M.Pharm/MS/MTech/M.Sc.) in
Biotechnology/Bioscience & Bioengineering/Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences with a very
good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial
experience with published works of high quality.
Desirable:
Candidate should have expertise in characterization of biologicals/ biosimilars, vaccines,
bioprocess engineering, gene therapy, cell-based therapy. Candidate should have
demonstrated adequate experience of Industrial research in biopharma and academic
research in terms of guidance of Masters’ students, teaching experiences, execution and/or
recipient of sponsored/EMR projects and with publications in SCI journals.

Essential Qualification:
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Sc/M.Pharm/ M.S.Pharm/ B.Tech/M.Tech) in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics or relevant branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. with published works of high quality.
Desirable:
Candidates should have experience in Biomedical Imaging, AI in healthcare, Biomedical signal processing, etc. Expertise in developing and testing Biomedical devices in the class 2 and class 3 categories will be an added advantage. Patent filed/granted in the area of biomedical devices will be preferred. Preference will be given to the candidates who have demonstrated adequate experience in independent research in terms of guidance of Master students, execution of sponsored/EMR projects and with publications in SCI journals.

Essential Qualification:
M.B.B.S. Degree in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of
1956) and must be registered in State Medical Register or in Indian Medical Register.
Desirable Qualification:
Post Graduate Medical Qualification recognized by the MCI. Preference will be given to MD in
General Medicine.
