Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology (JIST) Jorhat Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Assistant Professor in Information Technology in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :
a. Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Information Technology or a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalentdegree from an accredited foreign university.
b. Must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or have got a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission. [The qualification shall be as per the UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18th July, 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time.]
Scale of Pay: (Level-10) Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.
Age: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable upto as per rules of Govt. of Assam
