Rajiv Gandhi University Arunachal Pradesh is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Junior Research Fellow ()RF) and Field Assistant (FA) under a time bound R & D project sponsored by National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), MOEF & CC, GoI entitled “Inventorization of Taxonomic Diversity, Habitat Mapping, Conservation, and Livelihood Linkages of the Aroid Flora in the Eastern Himalaya and Northeast India” in 2026.

Emoluments :
JRF Position: 1st & 2nd Year: Rs. 37000/Month + 10% HRA for JRF-NET/GATE qualified Candidate.
SRF Position: 3rd Year: Rs. 42000/Month + 10% HRA for JRF-NET/GATE qualified Candidate
Qualification :
M.Sc. in Botany/Life Sciences/Biotechnology with UGC-CSIR JRF/NET qualified candidates specialized in Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Taxonomy with prior knowiedge of plant Angiosperm Taxonomy, DNA Barcoding, Molecular Taxonomy and Phylogeny. In case of non-availability of JRF-NET qualified candidate, a non-NET candidate will be considered for appointment as Junior Project Fellow (JPF) with Remuneration of Rs 24000/- per month + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd Year and Senior Project Fellow (SPF) with Rs. 28000/- per month + 10% HRA for 3rd Year. Preferences will be given to candidates with prior knowledge of plant DNA
Barcoding, molecular taxonomy and phylogeny.
