Shillong Teer, an archery-based game, is played in Meghalaya from Monday to Saturday in the week.
The Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association, which is a group of Meghalaya’s 12 archery clubs, organizes the game.

A total of 50 archers shoot 30 arrows each every day at 3:15 pm and 20 arrows in the second round at 4:15 pm.

There are several authorized Teer betting counters operational in the state.
Every day, tickets for the first round of Shillong Teer are sold from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm and for the second round, the tickets are sold till 4.30 pm.
Except for Sunday, the archery session begins at Polo Ground in Shillong at 3.45 pm.
A person can win Rs 80 for every Re 1 bet on a number in the first round of the game and Rs 60 for every Re 1 spent in the second round.
The game is simple. One has to select the last two digits of the total number of arrows that hit the target. Whoever gets the number right is declared the winner of Shillong Teer.
Besides Shillong Teer, the game is also played in three different places—Jowai Teer, Khanapara Teer and Ladrymbai Teer.
