Speaking to Northeast Now outside the CJM’s court, Azizur Rehman Laskar, said, “Alam Hussain Mazumder introduced himself to be a resident of Assam only when he met us more than seven years back.”
“After marrying my daughter at that time, he began to stay with us in our residence at Bagadhar Part IV on the outskirts of Silchar. He being a Rohingya was not known to us at all,” he added.
Hassan Raja Mazumder as claimed by Alam Mazumder as his ‘father’, on the other hand, speaking to this correspondent, summed up everything when he said, “He just used my legacy. I am not related to him in any way.”
Police sources, meanwhile, are sure of unearthing more names those who have assisted in allowing Rohingya Alam Hussain Mazumder, get excess to having a, pan card, voter ID, bank passbook, birth certificate, land documents and every other documents that stand as a validity for Indian citizen.
“We in all likelihood register more cases against all the names that would come up after grilling both his father-in-law and his claimed ‘father’,” said a police official on condition of anonymity.
“We would go deep down to find out the conspirators and those who have helped Alam Hussain Mazumder get excess to all these documents illegally,” the police official added.
