The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has increased the speed of its sixteen trains as a measure of boosting connectivity and the new schedule will be effective from Monday.
The journey time of the sixteen trains has been reduced by a range of five to thirty minutes.
The trains, whose journey time has been reduced by a range of ten minutes, include 15631 Barmer-Guwahati Express, 55681 Belonia-Agartala Passenger, 55683 Belonia-Agartala Passenger, 13245 New Jalpaiguri-Rajendranagar Capital Express and 15418 Silghat Town-Alipurduar Jn. Rajya Rani Express.
Some trains, whose journey time has been decreased by a range of fifteen minutes, include 55682 Agartala-Belonia Passenger, 55663 Agartala-Silchar Passenger, 55664 Silchar-Agartala Passenger, 75707 Radhikapur-Siliguri DEMU Passenger, 75719 Malda Court-Siliguri Jn. DEMU Passenger and 12504 Agartala-Bangalore Cantt Humsafar Express.
The NFR has also reduced the journey time of some trains by a range of twenty five minutes like the 15626 Agartala-Deoghar Express and the 13174 Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express.
The trains, whose journey time have been reduced by five and twenty minutes, include 13034 Katihar- Howrah Express and 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Awadh Assam Express respectively.
Moreover, the only train, whose journey time has been reduced by a range of thirty minutes, is the 15630 Silghat Town-Tambaram Nagaon Express.
