The crime branch of Assam Police with the help of its Jammu and Kashmir counterpart arrested one Syed Abbass for allegedly making derogatory comments on the widow of slain CRPF jawan Sunil Kalita.

Kalita, who hailed from Palara village under Kamalpur police station in Kamrup district, was killed in an attack by Naxalites at Kuchai in Saraikela district of Jharkhand on May 28.

Abbass had allegedly made derogatory remarks on slain Kalita’s wife on the Facebook page of News Live while she was paying her tributes and saluting her slain husband during last rites.
