Assam football player Vinit Rai Chamling has been selected as one of the Indian footballers to be a part of the training camp for the upcoming King’s Cup.
The new coach of the Indian football team Igor Stimac has announced the list of 37 Indian football players who has been selected for the training camp.
The King’s Cup, an annual international men’s football tournament organized by Football Association of Thailand , is slated to be held this year in Buriram , Thailand from June 5 to June 8.
However, the Kokrajhar based famous football player Halicharan Narzary has not been selected for the training camp due to knee injury.
Vinit’s amazing performance as a central midfielder for the Delhi Dynamos team in the Indian Super League(ISL) is one of the prime reasons for his selection for the training camp in the upcoming King’s Cup.
Apart from ISL, Vinit has also played brilliantly in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championships and various other international football tournaments.
He did his initial football training at the Tata Football Academy from the age of 13.
