The three-day Assam State conference of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) will be held at Shilpgrama, Panjabari in Guwahati on February 4, 5 & 6, 2018. On the occasion of the conference, an under-22 tennis ball cricket completion will be held on January 25 and January 26, 2018. The game will begin at 10 in the morning. On the other hand, a seminar on ‘Today’s India and peril of communalism’ will be held in the conference hall of Lakshiram Baruah Sadan at Dighalipukhuripar on January 27, 2018. The seminar, to be started from 4 pm, will be attended by CPI-M’s Politburo member and Rajya Sabha member Brinda Karat as one of the panelists. On January 24, 2018, films will be screened from 4 pm at the Satyanath Bora Hall at Dighalipukhuripar. On January 31, 2018, a programme titled ‘Artistes’ society against communalism’ will be held at the Pragjyotish IT Centre, Machkhowa from 11 am. Besides, the open session of the conference will be held in the playground of the Sonaram Higher Secondary School at Bharalumukh on February 4, 2018. The programme, to be started from 11 am, will be attended by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar along with national leader of the party Biman Basu. Apart from these, on February 5, 2018, a cultural evening will be organized Shilpgram from 5 pm where a number of artistes will perform.
