The All India Coordinated Research Project on Post Harvest Engineering and Technology under the Directorate of Research (Veterinary) in collaboration with the Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Khanapara, Guwahati, is going to organise a three-day skill development programme on ‘Production, Processing and Value Addition of Meat and Meat Products and Demonstration of Technologies and Machineries’ from March 28 to 30 next.

The programme is primarily for meat entrepreneurs and field veterinarians who are overseeing the inspection and hygienic production of meat in municipal corporation, town committees and blocks. The training will be imparted on both theoretical and practical aspects of slaughtering of food animals and processing of meat and meat products. Around 25-30 participants will be selected for the training on first come first serve basis.
