The Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) and Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) are jointly organizing the second edition of SAMANTRANA, a two-day National Seminar on the theme “Role and Importance of Research in Technical Education” on January 18 and 19, 2018 at the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management & Technology campus, Hatkhowapara, Azara, Guwahati-781017.
The objective of the seminar is to understand the importance of research in technical education and create a pathway to promote research and innovation in academia, so as to develop a highly skilled human resource pool contributing towards the development of the state and the north eastern region.
The seminar will host a number of distinguished academicians and researchers from IITG, NIT Mizoram and Tezpur Central University.
The seminar is divided into sub-themes, which includes – the current scenario of technical education, Research in technical education, Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation and its impact in changing human lives and Skill Development to enhance the employability of Engineering Graduates.
