The opposition Congress has declared its second list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaiñtia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) slated for February 27, 2019.
The list of candidates for council polls was approved by the Meghalaya Pradesh Election Committee which met at the Congress Bhavan on Monday.
The names of the candidates from the remaining constituencies to the KHADC include Olet Kharsahnoh from Mawkynrew, Lamborsing Nongrum from Nongkrem, Ostiwel Lyngdoh Nonglait from Laban-Mawprem and Bajop Pyngrope from Rambrai-Jyrngam.
The candidates from constituencies to the JHADC include Jeweller Synrem from Nartiang-Umladang, Albinus Sympli from Mynsngat-Khanduli, Winning G.Sungoh from Mookaïaw, Bhalang Bang from Tuber, Philip James Bamon from Rymbai-Khliehriat, Hopingstone Barehfrom Sutnga-Narwan, Michael Nongtdu from Sutnga-Nongkhlieh, Philip Tangliang from Sumer, Arbor Hima Darnei from Saipung, Desous Pohshna from Narpuh and Balios Swer from Bataw-Lakadong.
This was declared by Meghalaya PCC general secretary, Waibha K. Kyndiah.
The first list of candidates for council polls was declared on December 22, 2019.
