Nagaland chief electoral officer Abhijit Sinha held a meeting with all recognized political parties of the state in Kohima on Wednesday.

This was in connection with the special summary revision of electoral roll from January 1, 2019 as the qualifying date.

Sinha urged the parties to appoint one booth level agent in each polling station to review the electoral roll.

Sharing the various activities being undertaken by the Election Commission of India relating to preparation of an authentic and error-free electoral roll which will be used in the coming elections, the CEO said the final electoral rolls will be published on January 10, 2019, subject to the approval of the commission.

Thereafter, any additions, deletions or corrections to be made in the final electoral rolls will be taken up under the continuous updation exercise by the concerned electoral registration officers.
