Assam Government on Tuesday published the list of holidays for the year 2019.
The Assam Holiday 2019 list was approved during a Cabinet meeting held on Monday evening and the list was published on Tuesday.
Senior Assam government officials informed that as per Assam Holiday 2019 list, the government employees will get to enjoy altogether 35 holidays in the year 2019 and two days of half holiday.
The two half holidays in the Assam Holiday 2019 list are September 10, 2019 for Muharram and October 13 for Laxmi Puja.
Apart from the 35 official holidays in the Assam Holiday 2019 list, the government employees can enjoy 25 restricted holidays in the year 2019.
Notably, Assam Government employees get holidays on second and fourth Saturdays making a total of 24 such holidays. Apart from the holidays mentioned in the Assam Holiday 2019 list, there are 52 Sundays in the year 2019.
Moreover, the state government employees can enjoy 12 casual leaves in a year and also can take earned leave for 30 days. In fact, the Assam Holiday 2019 list is much better this year for the government in comparison to the previous years.
