The Assam team, both sub-junior and junior, left to participate 11th National Tchoukball Championship, which will be held at Navi Mumbai from November 16 to November 18, 2018.

All total 22 States of the nation would participate in the championship.

Ashok Goyary, General Secretary of Assam Tchoukball Association said that a total of 60 players, both girls and boys belonging to sub-junior and junior Tchoukball team are ready to participate in the championship.

He hopes that the Assam team would perform well in the championship.

The Tchoukball is an uniqueness sports founded by famous Swiss biologist Dr Herman Brandt in the year 1970.

It is unique in sense that it is a combination of handball and net bank features distinctively with absence of anything direct tackling.

It’s a very much tactical game which requires strategic positioning, strategically execution of skilful performance and defending against opponent on the basis of tactical positioning.

Since 1970, this unique sports has come a long way in world games 2009 at Kaohsiung, Taiwan 101 countries were participated.

Currently, under the International Federation of Tchoukball has affiliation of 115 countries.

The first National Tchoukball Competition was conducted in the year 2005.
