Shillong-based Big-Ri & Meba Ofilia won the Best India Act for their song โ€œDone Talkingโ€ at the 2018 Europe Music Awards (EMA), on Sunday.

The gala was of the MTV Europe Music Awards was held at Bilbao, Spain.

Big-Ri is one of the founders of hip-hop group Khasi Bloodz, while Meba Ofilia has been stirring quite a buzz with her style, which is rooted in hip-hop and R&B.

Ofilia wrote on Instagram, โ€œBig-Ri and I are so so so grateful! We have a long long way to go and trust me, we wouldnโ€™t have been able to do this without you. Thanks for the love and support everyone.โ€

Representing the Indian music scene with their innovative and original music videos, the Best India Act category also saw nominees like Raja Kumari ft. Divine (โ€œCity Slumsโ€), Monica Dogra and Curtain Blue (โ€œSpellโ€), Skyharbor (โ€œDimโ€) and Nikhil Dโ€™Souza (โ€œSilver and Goldโ€).

An MTV Europe Music Award is an award presented by Viacom International Media Networks to honour artists and music in pop culture. The Europe Music Awards are held every year in a different country. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists.
