Leader of the pro-talk ULFA Mrinal Hazarika has threatened Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev, who has led the 26 Bengali organisations planning to hold a mass gathering in favour of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, saying he must face the ‘consequence for his misdeeds’.

According to information, the 26 Bengali organisations, which have proposed to hold a mass gathering in Khanapara playground in the city in support of the Bill, are now planning to shift their venue from Guwahati to some other place in Hojai district, as it has been opposed by most of the organisations of the Brahmaputra Valley.

“The Bengali organisations are now planning to hold the mass gathering somewhere in Lumding, Hojai or Lanka under Hojai district which areas are in their dominance,” said Hazarika.

Threatening Shiladitya Dev, who is leading the 26 organisations from front, Hazarika said, “Shiladitya Dev is doing wrong. But he must face consequence for his mistakes. He is now moving with security as he is presently in power. His days will not remain the same and must come down to the land one day.”
