The Dimapur Battalion of Assam Rifles organised Mini Marathon in Kashiram Basti, Dimapur on the occasion of ‘Police Commemoration Day’ recently.
The 10 km run witnessed a participation of 100 youths from across Dimapur in Nagaland.
Informing this, the Assam Rifles on its Twitter handle on Wednesday stated: “Dimapur Battalion Assam Rifles organised Mini Marathon in Kashiram Basti, Dimapur on the occasion of ‘Police Commemoration Day’ on 21 October. The 10 km run witnessed a participation of 100 youth from across Dimapur.”
According to reports, the Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles, on the occasion of Police Commemoration day carried out an interaction with Veer Naris and war widows on October 20.
The interaction primarily focused on addressing the problems and grievances of Ex-servicemen (ESM) and Veer Naris.
The Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, during the interaction, were advised to keep healthy relationship and maintain unity among them in order to jointly address various problems.
The participants at the interaction programme were sensitised on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day.
The interaction was attended by ten ladies, eight children and five relatives of martyrs.
On the other hand, the Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) Conducted Painting competition and Motivation lecture on sacrifice of police in service for the nation, to mark the Police Commemoration Day recently.
The painting competition was organised at Assam Rifles Public School, Keithelmanbi, for students of class I to XII.
