St Anthony’s College Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Lecturers, Watchman and Laboratory Attendant

Eligibility Criteria :
1. Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Botany from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard Hearing; (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) and Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy Layer).
2. Candidates must have cleared the UGC–National Eligibility Test (NET) or similar test recognised by the UGC like SLET/SET or must have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/SET is not conducted.

Eligibility Criteria :
The candidate must have: Passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC/Class XII/ 10+2) examination with Biology, or an equivalent examination recognised by the competent
educational authority.
Desirable qualifications and experience
i. Previous work experience in a zoological, biological, life-science or other science laboratory,
preferably in a school, college, university or research institution.
ii. Familiarity with laboratory cleaning, preparation and arrangement of practical materials, and
safe handling of laboratory equipment and glassware.
iii. Basic knowledge of the care and storage of zoological specimens, models, slides, chemicals
and laboratory consumables.
iv. Awareness of laboratory hygiene, safety procedures and appropriate waste segregation and
disposal practices.
v. Preference may be given to candidates possessing relevant laboratory experience, subject to the
prescribed selection criteria and applicable recruitment rules.

SLC (Class X) or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria: Candidates with experience of working in a College or similar academic Institutions, and knowledge of English for communication, will get preference.
