Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah has congratulated the people of Tripura for voting the BJP candidates to power in Panchayat polls.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Thursday stated that the people of Tripura have again reposed their faith on the development policy and good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by voting BJP candidates to power in the panchayat polls of Tripura.

Stating this in Bengali language on his Twitter handle on Thursday, BJP president Shah said the people of Tripura voted BJP candidates – 100 per cent in Zilla Parishad, 99 per cent in Gaon Samiti and 99.4 per cent in Gaon Panchayat seat – to power.

Shah tweeted: “Tripurar Panchayat Nirbachone Zilla Parishader 100 Shatangsha, Panchayat Samitir 99 Shatangsha Ebong Gram Panchayater 99.4 Shatangsha Asone BJP Parthider Bijoyi Kore Tripurar Janagan Pradhan Mantri Shree Narendra Modijir Bikash Niti Ebong Sushashaner Prati Punaray Bishwas Byakt Karshen.”

In another tweet that too in Bengali language, BJP president Shah congratulated the people of Tripura for this massive victory in the panchayat polls. He also expressed his best wishes for Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and the active BJP workers.

In the Gaon Panchayat, out of 3,207 seats, the BJP got 3,188 seats (99.4%), others 19; in Panchayat Samiti, out of 161 seats, the BJP got 159 seats (99 pc), others 2 nad in Zilla Parishad, out of total 18 seats, BJP won all the seats (100 pc).
