National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala Tripura is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Accountant, Security Officer and Legal Advisor in 2026.
Name of post : Security Officer (Contractual)
No. of posts : 1
Monthly Salary : Rs,50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only per month (Consolidated). For official
tours/visits TA/DA shall be admissible as per the Institute rules.
Age : Upto 62 years of age as on 30-09-2026.
Qualification : Graduate in any discipline.
Experience : Ex-serviceman retired from Army/Navy/Air Force/Paramilitary Force preferably from the rank of DSP or equivalent with meritorious service records.
Name of post : Accountant (Contractual)
No. of posts : 2
Monthly Salary : Rs.30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) only. TA/DA for official tours/visits shall be
admissible as per the Institute rules.
Age : Upto 62 years of age as on 30-09-2026.
Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in commerce from recognized University/institute and proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel and Tally.
Experience : Retired employees who held analogous posts in the Central Government/ State Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs/Central or State Universities.
Name of post : Legal Advisor on contract/sitting fee basis,
Remuneration : Remuneration will be based on mutual discussion. It will not be constraint for
deserving candidates
Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized University.
Experience :
1. Enrolment as an Advocate with a State Bar Council under the Advocates Act, 1961.
2. Minimum 10 years’ standing at the Bar as on the last date of application.
3. Retired/working personnel with experience of 20 years and more will be preferred.
