Senior Bangla journalist Saleem Samad will interact with the members of Guwahati Press Club through online medium during a programme scheduled for 2 pm on October 5 next.
According to information, the well-known investigative journalist is expected to speak about various issues including the political situation on the eve of forthcoming general elections in Bangladesh, the public mood over the National Register of Citizens (NRC) update process going on in Assam and the growing need for Guwahati-Dhaka bus and air services, etc.
An Ashoka fellow, Hellman-Hammett award recipient and a media rights defender, the Dhaka-based outspoken journalist is presently engaged with the acclaimed newspaper, the ‘Bangladesh Monitor’, published from Dhaka.
A regular contributor to ‘India Today’, senior journalist Saleem Samad will also highlight the growing challenges for committed media persons based in south and southeast Asian countries.
