Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday inaugurated development projects worth approximately Rs 32 crore in the Keirao Assembly constituency of Imphal East district.
The projects include a new sports gallery, an Ima Market, a working women’s hostel and two reinforced cement concrete (RCC) bridges. The inauguration ceremony was held at Arapati Lilong Mapal Kangjeibung in Keirao.
Speaking at the event, Khemchand said the projects were aimed at improving connectivity, supporting the local economy, providing facilities for working women and promoting sports in the area.
In a statement shared on his official social media handles, the Chief Minister said the initiatives would strengthen connectivity, boost the local economy and promote sports in the region. He also said the new infrastructure would help address existing infrastructure gaps and improve the quality of life of residents.
Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei, Wangjing Tentha MLA Paonam Brojen Singh and 15-Keirao Makting Zilla Parishad (ZP) member M. Joykumar Singh attended the event.
Bamon Kampu ZP member H. Dhamendra Singh, Bamon Kampu ZP chairperson K. Subhas Singh and Keirao Gram Panchayat chairperson M. Romeschandra were also present.
