Guwahati: A passenger bus overturned on the highway at Khetri on Tuesday morning after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leaving several passengers with narrow escapes.
The bus was travelling from Guwahati towards Lakhimpur when the accident occurred on a reportedly damaged stretch of the highway. The vehicle veered out of control before overturning on the road, triggering panic among those on board.
The incident comes a day after a fatal road accident at Khetri-Nalgedera on August 30, in which a passenger-carrying commercial vehicle collided head-on with a truck, reportedly killing six people and injuring three others.

The latest bus accident has renewed concerns over road conditions and traffic safety in the Khetri area, particularly on damaged stretches of the highway.
