On the occasion of the ongoing Swachhta Hi Seva Week, a public march was conducted on Wednesday in association with the local people at Salakati Market Bazar followed by the undertaking of the Swachhta Pledge in Kokrajhar town of the district of Assam.

Various swachhta activities like cleanliness drive, jungle cutting, sweeping of the market area with mass participation by the local public was organized in association with the Salakati Market Bazar Committee members.

The programme concluded with ‘shramdaan’ by the local public in the market area by planting 10 numbers of fruit bearing trees.

The traders of the market were also distributed with swachhta kits like dustbin, tasla, jabaka, jhadu etc to the bazaar committee so that regular cleanliness can be maintained on day to day basis.

The programme witnessed a mass participation of approximately 250 people.
