Assam Rifles Tizit flood relief
Assam Rifles reviews flood damage in Tizit, Nagaland, and directs timely assistance for affected families and restoration of infrastructure.

Dimapur: Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) Major General Harinder Singh Mavi on Saturday visited flood-affected areas of Tizit in Mon district to assess the impact of the recent floods on residents and essential infrastructure.

During the visit, Mavi directed Assam Rifles authorities to provide timely and need-based assistance to affected residents, with priority given to those most in need.

He visited Holy Trinity School in Tizit and assessed the damage caused to its infrastructure. The officer also met school authorities to understand the immediate requirements for repairing and restoring the affected facilities.

Representatives of the Tizit town committee, including the chairman, secretary and general body members, also met Mavi and apprised him of the difficulties faced by residents following the floods.

They raised concerns over the restoration of essential infrastructure, rehabilitation of affected families and the need for timely support to flood victims.

Mavi assured the local representatives that Assam Rifles would extend assistance for relief, restoration and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas.
