Agartala: Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma on Monday said the party would undertake a major organisational restructuring after the Village Committee (VC) elections and asserted that those pursuing politics for personal interests would have no place in the revamped organisation.
In a statement, Pradyot said the reorganisation would cover the party as well as its frontal organisations, including the Youth Tipra Federation (YTF), Tipra Women’s Federation (TWF), Tipra Indigenous Students Federation (TISF), and Tipra Cultural Forum (TCF).
He said the restructuring exercise would focus on building an organisation comprising individuals committed to the party’s ideals and dedicated to working for the welfare of the state and the country.
According to Pradyot, the reconstituted organisation would not accommodate “opportunists” or those motivated by personal gains.
He said the exercise would be carried out after the completion of the Village Committee elections.
Pradyot also said the reorganisation was aimed at strengthening the party and its affiliated bodies by inducting committed workers into key organisational roles.
The TIPRA Motha chief did not elaborate on the timeline for the restructuring, beyond stating that it would begin after the VC elections.
There was no immediate response from any party leader to Pradyot’s remarks.
