Burhigosani Devalaya

The Burhigosani Devalaya is a very old and prominent 18th century Shakti Shrine which was established in 1794 by Ahom king Gaurinath Singha. The Shakti Shrineย houses an ancient idol of ย goddess Durga which was brought from the Jaintia Hills. The temple is located in Jorhat near Garali on Dewal road. The temple is build during Ahom era and is famous for its historical significance.
Hoollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is a peaceful, lush green rainforest which is a home to Indiaโs only ape, the hoolock gibbon along with rich biodiversity. It is one of the Assamโs most unique destinations situated in Mariani, Jorhat district. The destination is located about 20-25 km from Jorhat city. Many birds species , capped langur, Asian elephant etc are found in this wildlife sanctuary.
Kokilamukh picnic spot

This picnic spot is located in kamalabari, Jorhat (Assam). The Kokilamukh picnic spot is a riverfront destination along the Brahmaputra. It has a peaceful atmosphere with a scenic view perfect for family gatherings , photography and picnics. The best time to visit this spot is October to February. Raja Maidam

This Maidam is located in Jorhat, Assam on Raja Maidam road in New Colony. The Raja Maidam is situated near the southern bank of the Tocklai river. It is a historical monument from the Ahom era. It is a royal burial mound from the Ahom era. The maidam gives a glimpse of Assamโs royal history and also reflects the burial traditions and architectural style of the Ahom who ruled Assam for nearly 600 years.
New Lachit Borphukan Maidam

It is a newly developed historical landmark dedicated to theย legendary Ahom general Lachit Borphukan who defeated the Mughals in the battle of Saraighat 1671. The site preserves his burial mound. The statue of Valour, a 125 foot made of bronze, is the main attraction of the site. The site also has a museum with modern facilities to showcase his life and legacy. The site is beautifully decorated making it photogenic and also visually appealing.
