Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Associate Project Engineer in 2026.
Name of post : Associate Project Engineer
No. of posts : 1
Scale of pay: Rs. 35,000.00 to 49,000.00 p.m., with an annual increment of Rs. 1,400.00.
The initial pay shall be fixed by the Selection Committee. House Rent Allowance (HRA) and
Medical facilities as per the Institute rules.
Educational Qualifications: Master of Computer Applications (MCA) with minimum 60%
aggregate marks, or 7.0 CGPA.
Experience: 05 (Five) years of work experience.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in website design and development using CMS platforms such as WordPress and Joomla, with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, and relational databases (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB). Experience in website deployment, administration and maintenance on Linux operating systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in managing or supporting online examination systems such as JEE, GATE, JAM, KVPY etc. Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under strict deadlines.
Desired Skills:
Experience in handling large?scale cloud?based web system deployment and
maintenance of production website experiencing flash load. Basic scripting (e.g. Bash,
Python), understanding of web?security best practices.
