Pasighat: A three-day flood relief donation campaign organised by Recovering Warriors, a group of recovering addiction survivors, raised Rs 89,094 for families affected by the recent floods in Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district.
The campaign began at Oyan Main Market on July 3, continued at Ruksin Main Market on July 4 and concluded at Pasighat Main Market on July 5, with donations collected through cash and authorised digital payment platforms.
According to the organisers, Pasighat recorded the highest collection at Rs 38,471, followed by Rs 28,340 at Oyan and Rs 22,283 at Ruksin.
The funds were handed over to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ruksin in Siang district and subsequently transferred to the Deputy Commissioner, Keyi Panyor district Relief Fund to support relief and essential assistance for flood-affected families.
Recovering Warriors representative Mohan Tamut thanked residents of Oyan, Ruksin, Pasighat and neighbouring areas for contributing to the campaign.
